16th April 1918 Tank Corps Training Centre Order, forming 17th Armoured Car Tank Battalion.

17th April 1918 Personnel arrive at Bovington.

19th April 1918 Transport arrives from Bulford.

20th April 1918 Armoured Cars arrive.

21st April 1918 Formation of Battalion complete. Orders to send advance party overseas.

25th April 1918 Advance party leave for Folke­stone, 1700 hours.

26th April 1918 Battalion leaves Bovington, 1830 hours.

27th April 1918 Folkestone.

28th April 1918 Boulogne. Advance party at Poperinghe with II Army.

29th April 1918 Merlimont.

30th April 1918 Battalion parade complete for first time in France.

2nd May 1918    Le Treport.

3rd May 1918    Inspection by G.O.C., Tank Corps.

21st May 1918   Orders to move to La Houssoye.

22nd May 1918   Belloy with IV Army.

23rd May 1918   Inspection by G.O.C., 5th Tank Brigade. Querrieu Wood and La Houssoye. Battalion comes under fire. First casualty.

4th June 1918   Orders to report to XXXI French Corps. Move commences.

5th June 1918   Pissy Chateau with XXII British Corps.

9th June 1918   Orders to report to General Mangin.

10th June 1918  Report to Ravenel.

11th June 1918  *Montdidier.

14th June 1918  Return to Ravenel.

15th June 1918  Pissy Chateau again.
