was a boot and shoemaker in Bovey Tracey, he was born on 30 Jan 1865 in Bovey Tracey, from a long line of Bovey Tracey
Harris’s. Eliza Poole was born
in Muston Yorkshire, the daughter of Maymon Poole and Mary Ferguson, also a
family shoemakers, we don’t know how they met! John Harris’s son, Maymon James
Knapman Harris, set up as a boot and shoemaker in Lustleigh, on the fringe of
Dartmoor in Devon, later running a shoe shop in St. Marychurch Rd. Torquay. |
